I just lost my father a month before Kobe, his daughter Gianna, and their friends lost their lives tragically. It was in that moment, in my grief, that I realized that none of us are immune to the fate we're all born into. What gives me comfort is knowing the kind of man my father was. Having grown up watching Kobe, I feel I have a pretty solid idea of the type of man that he was as well. What they had in common was that they lived so much life in such a short amount of time.
Let's say life is a vehicle. We all get a vehicle and a stretch of highway that represents our journey, all that we can accomplish, and the impact we can have on the lives of others. My father and Kobe Bryant lived so fully and gave so much of themselves. Even though they were taken too soon; they likely got further down that road than people that get to live till they're one hundred. Legends never die. Mamba forever!
I'll end this by sharing a few moment's from Kobe's life that I'll never forget.
